Scoliosis is a condition in which there is an abnormal curvature of the spine, typically in the shape of an "S" or "C". It can lead to pain and structural abnormalities and, in severe cases, can interfere with breathing and other bodily functions. It is often diagnosed in children and teenagers and can be treated through the use of bracing and treatment techniques. Patients often wear a brace over a period of time in their formative years, correcting the spine as they grow.
